Mapping Scientific Excellence

The web application visualizes research excellence worldwide in 17 subject areas. For each institution (university or research-focused institution), the estimated probability of publishing papers which belong to the 10% most-cited papers within their subject categories is shown. The number of all papers of an institution corresponds to the circle size. The probability of publishing excellent papers ranges from blue (high probability) through grey (average) to red (low probability). More information
